The “Pride in the Randolph County School System (RCSS)” program honors employees who consistently demonstrate pride in the school system and exemplify strong character and commitment in their everyday work. While the program primarily highlights smaller, often unnoticed acts of dedication, it also recognizes exceptional efforts tied to larger events when appropriate.
Employees chosen for this recognition are awarded a “Pride in the Randolph County School System” lapel pin. Recipients are selected by members of the RCSS Leadership Team, school principals, or Board of Education members.
The following pages list the “Pride in RCSS” pin recipients from May 1, 2024, through April 30, 2025. We extend our sincere thanks to these outstanding employees for their dedication to the Randolph County School System.

Each grade will wear their assigned color:
Kindergarten – Purple
1st Grade – Red
2nd Grade – Yellow
3rd Grade – Orange
4th Grade – Blue
5th Grade – Green
💡 Tips to Help Your Child Succeed on the EOGs:
1. Encourage a Positive Mindset: Remind your child that these tests are a chance to show what they’ve learned—not something to fear.
2. Prioritize Rest: Ensure your child gets 8–10 hours of sleep each night, especially the night before testing.
3. Fuel Up with a Good Breakfast: A healthy breakfast can help students stay focused and energized.
4. Arrive on Time: Being on time helps reduce stress and gives your child a calm start to their testing day.
5. Review Test Strategies: Encourage them to read directions carefully, check their work, and take their time.
6. Stay Encouraging: A kind note in their backpack or a high-five in the morning goes a long way in boosting confidence.
Let’s work together to support our amazing students during this important time. We can’t wait to celebrate their hard work and cheer them on all week long!

To cap off a fantastic Spring book fair, yesterday each student at AES was able to take home a book for free! This was made possible through all of the contributions made by students and families (and one in particular, massive thanks to the Kidd family!) to fund our Share the Fair account. The goal of this Scholastic initiative is to put a book in the hands of every student--a goal we were able to meet! Thank you to all of the students, families, and AES staff who worked together to make this happen!

"Leadership Reads" is an initiative within the RCSS where members of the central office Leadership Team visit elementary schools to read to students. This morning, Director for Human Services, Shon Hildreth had the opportunity to read to Mrs. Matthews' 1st grade class. Thank you, Dr. Hildreth!

Cracking Into Science! Our second grade students are bringing science to life—literally! As part of their life cycle unit, they’ve been observing baby chicks hatch and grow right in the classroom. From eggs to fluffy friends, students are gaining hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of nature’s process. It’s been an egg-citing journey full of curiosity, care, and wonder!
