Mrs. Conrad’s 5th Grade Science classes, at Coleridge Elementary School, recently combined science and writing in a fun Motion Graph Storytelling Project! Students analyzed motion graphs to determine how an object was moving and then used the information from the graph to create a story that matched the motion. Working with a partner, students brainstormed their ideas before writing a first draft. They then revised their work and created a final draft complete with an illustration. This project gave students a creative way to demonstrate their understanding of motion while strengthening their storytelling and writing skills!
