We were able to collect 13 units ​a​t our school-wide blood drive! Those 13 units hold the power to save 39 lives of patients in the local hospitals. Save the date: Our Next Blood Drive will be on November 12, 2025 Thank you again, T-Wolves!! 🐺🩵🖤

In collaboration with Communities in Schools Randolph County, juniors and seniors from Uwharrie Ridge 6-12 participated in a career fair that allowed them to talk representatives from companies from Randolph County Sheriffs, Whitaker Landscapes, Randolph County IT, K&V Pallets, Esthetician, Movement Bank, and various representatives from Randolph County Schools. We wanted to tell everyone about the One Blood - Blood Drive scheduled for Thursday, April 10. Your participation is greatly appreciated and makes a significant difference in our community. If you are interested in donating, then you will need a permission form if you are under 18. Ms. Long will have some in the office, and Ms. Saint will have them in room 603 and at 2nd lunch. Age & Weight Requirements: For whole blood donation, you must be at least 16 years old to donate blood. Sixteen-year-olds must provide a signed parental or guardian consent form. In North Carolina, 16- and 17-year-olds are required to provide a signed consent form to donate. For double-red donation, Males Must be at least 16 years old and weigh at least 130 pounds, and be 5’1” or taller.

We were happy to host 5th graders from Farmer and Tabernacle as they toured all the programs we have to offer. Students learned to play instruments, planted seeds, transferred ink to paper in art, and learned about coding. They also learned about our public safety course, child development, and Spanish courses. If you know a senior who is not usually on campus, please reach out to them to make sure they get the info. On Monday, the 6th graders from UR 6-12 were able to explore careers in law-enforcement. We started out with Randolph County Communications where your 911 call comes into. Then we talked about the Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations, Crime Scene Investigations, K9s, saw some of our fleet. Rounded off the day with a tour of the Detention Center.
