9th graders learned about Financial Literacy today by participating in the Reality Store! They were assigned a hypothetical life scenario, including a job, income, and family situation, and must navigate various financial obligations, such as housing, transportation, food, and childcare.
We also had two guest speakers from Pinnacle Bank who spoke to them about checking, saving, and best practices of keeping their money safe.

On Tuesday our 7th and 8th grade students had the opportunity to travel to Furnitureland South in Jamestown to learn about careers in design, architecture, and sales. Students were able to see what programs were used to design rooms and all the services offered by FLS!

Today, our psychology students engaged in a collaborative team-building exercise aimed at enhancing the aesthetics of our hallways. They took on the responsibility of brainstorming ideas, assigning specific roles, and ultimately designing and constructing a bulletin board. Their efforts were commendable, and the outcome reflects their creativity and teamwork. Well done to all students involved!

Middle Schoolers, heads up! There's a good chance of snow this week, and that will mean Remote Learning Days. For each day we are out on remote learning, choose one activity per subject each day. That's not one acitivyt per day, that is multiple activities. You can submit your work to your teacher in Canvas, or complete it with pen and paper and bring it back to school when we meet again. If you have any questions, you can email your teachers.

February is Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, and the Randolph County School System wants to express our heartfelt gratitude to our Career and Technical Education staff, including Career Development Coordinators and Central Services support staff. These dedicated individuals work tirelessly to prepare our students for the workforce and provide them with valuable opportunities to explore a wide variety of career paths. Through their efforts, they not only teach and mentor but also actively collaborate with community leaders, local businesses, and industry partners to ensure our students' success.

Celebrate and support our FFA next week by participating in Spirit Week!
